PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
WHEN: On Wednesday, October 25th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
WHERE: Contest will be held outside, in front of the Apache Nugget Casino
TO BE ELIGIBLE: Must be 21 or older, free to enter but must fill out entry form and sign media release form.
RULES: Must clean and carve pumpkin using tools provided by ANC, must carve the pumpkin free hand (no personal carving tools, guides allowed). guides or pre-drawn images allowed), may draw image on pumpkin before carving, ANC will provide basic tools (knives, spoons, pencils, towels, wet-ones, trash receptacles) and the pumpkins.
At 3:30 p.m. the pumpkins are to be judged by a secret panel of judges (who won’t know the identity of the contestants). Winners will be announced immediately following the judging. The pumpkins will be judged in the following categories: Scariest, funniest, most original. In each category we will be three (3) places, 3rd place will receive $25, 2nd place will receive $50, and 1st place will receive $100. Winners will be required to leave their pumpkins to be displayed through October 31st. All other contestants will have the option of taking their pumpkin home with them. All contestants will receive a free hot dog, chips and coke, as well as, a goodie-bag.
